By George!- You've Got it! FINANCING of a NO-BUDGET production is always an iffy thing - as in, "Iffy you write a bad-check - all sorts of terrible things happen".
On a recent trip to Las Vegas, I was looking for investors. I managed to find a couple of people who were interested in talking with me - but then figured out they expected ME to be investing in THEM!
Actually - there are NO investors in this project - except me - but I couldn't pass up the chance to include this silly picture. Yes - read the admonition at the bottom of the page - it's true - all too true.
The whole 'investor-thing' is the ultimate corrupter of the writer and director's creative aspirations. Many movies have been made about what and how that happens - such as MISTRESS.
What's been great about the DESTRUDO effort is how many wonderfully talented people have come out of the woodwork to join in. The net result being that we have created a vehicle for showcasing their talents and, in the process, everyone enjoys the opportunity to express their art and practice their craft. MANY MANY THANKS to everyone who has come together to 'be' DESTURDO.
